I don’t think i have ever stayed in all weekend for a very long time… I don’t remember when i last did that.

Sat i was ment to go shopping with a friend but she felt tired so carried on sleeping 🙁 …. it’s always good to take advantage of the situation and so slept most of the day… then sun i slept most of the day as well… i feel very refreshed now that i’ve done that.

Infact i may stay in more often…. this weekend by not going out i must have saved atleast £60

Work is hard at the moment… my line manager was away for a while so had no one to complain to but now that i have complained they are taking it really serious and holding a meeting and she is getting her line manager involved. Problem is that i’ve been overwork producing stupids stats for the past 2 weeks… and neglect other things like system support.. so told them i was overworked etc.

Anyway on with the blog.

Friday I had lunch with Mariyam before she headed back to Doha, Went to have Lebanese down Edgware Road. Good to catch up and stuff… food was really good def be going back.

After Work I went to the monthly INPS leaving party. This month 4 people were leaving. This leaving party was mad…. it was like the who’s who of INPS… past and present employees were there…. quite amazing.

I was good seeing my old mates again…. it was good to catch up on stuff…. I really do miss working for INPS sometimes.

Later on in the evening I had to rush to the Royal Albert Hall where i went to see Royal Philharmonic Orchestra play. The night was a themed night and Symphonic Rock was the theme.

It was really good… i love the mix of classical reditions of modern day tunes… The best peices of the night were Livin on a Prayer by Bon Jovi , bohemian rhapsody by Queen and We are the Champions by Queens as well.

The crowd really loved the classical redition of these songs.

The night reminded me of when i was in the school orchestra… it’s so fun…. they should do more shows like this it would get kids more involved in Classical music.

This is a special post….. this is my 500th blog post!!!!!!!! I can’t believe that i have written that many!

So where do i start…. I had a very pressured week seems like i have so much work to do not enough time to finish it…

This week starting to take antibiotics again to fight my outbreaks of spots… collected the prescriptions fromt he doctors on fri but haven’t had time to go to a chemist to pick them up….

Over the weekend a friend i was speaking to on the phone convinced me to go out… i wasn’t to happy cos i don’t have much money to go out all the time…. so i was very reluctant… but i had to cos they booked a table… So we went to Fishworks in Richmond. I had a seafood platter…. i really loved it…. it was her treat so i didn’t need to pay felt really bad…

I really do feel really bad when peeps pay for me… i try to owe them meals back but it never feel like i am repaying them fully. It was a very sweet gesture. Thank you.

Anyway it cheered me up alot i guess it’s good being around friends on the weekend.

On Sunday went to Thach surprised bday lunch which Monica organised at the Mango Tree down Belgravia central london.

Food was very authentic …. i had the Lobster Pat Thai it was so yummy…

I really don’t like the political situation in Thailand at the moment… If you don’t know the Prime Minister was in New York when the military attempted a coup and made it. Having a unelected government in Thailand is an embarrassment to the country and shows how western states turn a blind eye to military dictatorship if there isn’t any oil!

I haven’t blogged for ages… having one of those one long weekends i guess.

Anyway fri i took it off so i can have an extended bank holiday weekend.

Fri i tried to finish off my room but ended up sleeping and watching a Korean Game show called “love letters” (one after the other) it is soooo funny… it has been out for a while but only got round to watching now! i was just cracking up on my own!

In the evening went out with Gemma, Anna, Waidat and Zander to watch Spiderman 3. As central london was showing it for a rip off price we went to the Vue in Shepperd’s Bush. The movie was focused on building the characters something that i’m not sure if this worked… overall it was a good movie to see.

Everyone else decided to head on to Thai Sq … i decided to call it a day and walked home…. it was a really nice walk actually. As i was walking i was thinking how much my road and area has changed. 15 years ago the place was a shit hole…. it is so different now…. gone are the junk yards and industrial estates .. in are media companies and offices…

The next day i went on a trip to the tate modern. It was the first art gallery i have been of some time. I’m not a really big fan of modern art i can’t get my head round how a canvas just painted all in grey can be art? What i did enjoy was the photography rooms….. I could have spent hours just looking at the pics… the 19th Century USSR pics were amazing.

Art galleries are so hi-tech these days… I tried out the PDA guide where you can find out about the works… on demand.

Afterwards went to St Katherine docks and Tobbaco docks to look around etc… did alot of walking stumbled upon a Walk thru Mcdonalds!!!! wow i think that’s a really cool concept!

Really hooked on Me & My katamari on the PSP at the moment… it is so addictive… it’s one of those games you really wanna put down but you can’t!

Sunday I went to Ben’s place for a BBQ… Ben lives on an island in Kent…. I swear it is the real life truman show…. all the houses look the same only and one exit off the island. etc….

Ben recetly just brought the place for a good price… i would love to live on the island but i don’t think i could live in the middle of nowhere.

Tonight i went to the Time Out Preview of Fast Food Nation. This movie opens on Friday…. same day as spiderman so i doubt many people will decide to see this movie… but it is def a must!

Atmposphere in the cinema was wierd it felt like no one could be bothered to be there cos they all had there free evening newspapers out reading them… anyway I brought the book ages ago but never got to read it, so i don’t know how true to the book it is but the movie is very symbolic.

The movie basically has 3 parallel stories within it.
1. a VP of marketing
2. a staff member at the fast food place
3. a migrant worker getting paid peanuts.

It shows the suffering they have to go through and also the easy life at the top of the food chain.

Anyway this is a film you must go and watch… perhaps it is not a weekend type movie… spiderman will fill that but perhaps use your orange wed code to watch this movie!

Anyway… besides this alot has happened at work today… my line manager thought it will be a good idea to move me for 2 weeks into another office so i can socially integrate…. so i have… i was unhappy at first but getting used to it now. but i miss my own desk 🙁

Anyway had a meeting today and it turns out that the programme director seems really please with me and they will be funding me to roll out another system at the end of this year… Once this happens it makes me technically working full time for Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster but the way it works is that they prefer to pay me indirectly… not sure why?

Anyway i don’t know how to react with the news… am i meant to be happy?

Anyway in the evening I went to shop at Paul Frank. To my surprise i saw something really cool! Paul Frank has done a collaboration with Lego!!!! and the stuff is actually cool… but i think it is aimed for kids… but i wouldn’t care i would still wear it!

Anyway more bad news… Metronet sent all the residents a letter tonight… they are going to be doing work every night for the whole month on the viaducts… 1 min from my home… so its going to be a noisy and sleepless month….

What a sunny day…. recently i feel like not working but now i have quite a bit of work to do now… which i have been putting off recently.

Some peeps from C*rner came into the office today they was preparing the servers for the new system which is launching next year… kinda reminded me of my job application to do 🙁 Oh well not bothered I’ve learnt to accept where i am for now…

Google have released some cool themes… for your personal search page…. nothing special you say? well depending on the weather the theme will change to reflect that!

Wow… i think i had the most enjoyable weekend for a while. For some reason I feel really happy and mellow.

Sat – went to Ikea with Mum and Sister…. it was time for my sister to get a new desk for her room… there alot of discussion with my mum when we go ikea cos she tends to pick really old fashioned stuff where i want modern stuff…

We are still debating if we should have carpet in the front room or go for laminate flooring… i personally want laminate but she wants carpets so i think she is gonna win that one.

Anyway going ikea to shop takes ages… but managed to come out with a few items… what a gentleman i am! i made my sister push the trolley to the car… being my sister… she loves stupid stuff like that!

After i dropped them home, I then rushed out to have dinner with Thach… went to eat at Frankies and Benny’s down Kingston at the Redunda. It was really nice… I had Mussels for starters which were slightly overcooked but did taste nice…. for maincourse i had spagetti with meat balls… it was really hard to take a pictures cos the other table was looking at us lol….

Over spent on my budget slightly my meal came up to £15…

On Sunday went to Central to have a late lunch with a friend… decided to go to busaba, it was the first time sitting outside and eating… i don’t think this concept can really work in london… just feel polluted… very different compared to eating out doors in paris. but saying that it was quite nice to eat outside for a change…

I had the usual Sen Chan Patthai, myself, Son and Minh used to go busaba all the time when were at uni…. they used to eat it so quick didn’t know how they did it cos the portions are quite large.

Afterwards.. in line with my budgeting instead of going to the cinema and spending loads of money I decided to go to Fopps couldn’t decide on the which hollywood movie to watch so i decided to go for world cinema.

I decided to buy Banlieue 13 (2004) (District 13)

for £8 … bargin…

Anyway so what is District 13…. it’s a french movie made in 2004 which the critics were raving about but never got the chance to see it.

District 13 is one of the best action movies i have seen for a while. In Brief this movie is like ong bak meets HK action movie, meets parkour, meets paris coucil estate.

it has Martial arts (which was very entertaining), Parkour (freerunning) and on top that a decent storyline.

To be honest i was surprised the french can produce a movie like this becuase the french are not really know for HK style action movies…

Anyway if you are into world cinema this is a must watch…. oh and the english dubbed is really bad…

Spoke to glenys online tonight… i don’t actually know what enlgish city she is in these days so given up asking but it was nice to chat to her cos haven’t spoken for ages… so might meet up soon…

Friday… it was the first social gathering with my fellow work mates from the IT systems Team, We went to eat at this Oriental Fusion Restaurant called See Cafe. Food was nasty and over priced.

Each person at the table manages a System so the Lunch almost didn’t happen cos one of the major systems went down. Tried my best to socialise but again it was quite hard, but they seem to be accepting me now… so it is really nice… I was the first External candidate into the department so most had known each other for a while.

This evening didn’t really have any plans was just going to head down to Ikea to buy a storage unit to finish off my room but that never happened :p

By 6 I was bored at home so decided to meet up with a friend. Had to pick her up from Feltham station, took a while to get there cos of traffic but when i got there she was no where to be seen… I thought maybe she was mad cos i was 10min late… so i tried to call but her phone was goign to voicemail so i waited there for 10 min thinking wtf going on?

Anyway I got bored waiting so asked someone around how many entrances are there and it turns out there are two DOH!!!!!!!!

so had to go round but eventually met.

Headed to central for food… went to La Porchetta Pollo down Old compton street which Melvin took myself and Jen to a few weeks back. It was nice and good value for money. Bill came up to £22 for 2 people…

Afterwards took a walk to Green park… it’s so scary when it’s pitch black took a nice picture of the Queens yard

Finallyy Congrats to Gemma who got the job at gaming giants SEGA…. i’m sure she will do very well….

I would say Yes! i can get free games of her now :p but i can’t even name one decent game from the sega in recent times.

This morning Jen text me as i was going to work to check out page 23 of the metro as Susie was in it. So at the station I picked up a copy and was amazed to see a half page picture of her… She had won best fashion blog…. I’m really glad she won and people admire her. I remember her livejournal blog before she started writing her current one. There was sometimes freaky and scary and I was quite worried.

Actually everytime i meet her she tends to look drunk for some reason… last time i saw her I had just finished eating a Koba with Monica, Thach and Jess, she looked ever so tipsy.

Anyway congrats to Susie… better seeing her in the paper winning something than being in it for any other reason.

Anyway today I had a really depressing day. I just didn’t feel like working… Compiling stats are boring and crap i really had to force myself to do anything. Tried to wake myself up by taking a walk but it was raining so ended up sitting at my desk on msn….

Tonight I was meant to go to eat with Thanh, Chi, Yen and some other person but I just really felt to tired… normally i don’t refuse… i think it was cos of all that jogging yesterday… talking of jogging my back is killing me… now that it’s the end of the month…. i might go and get a back massage… ahahahahahahah

Today I had a wonderful lunch with Anna… Went to Nando on Baker street for some peri peri chicken…. and yes i know it’s chicken again! i don’t know why but when i’m hungry i get the urge for chicken… esp Frangos!

It was a really early lunch which i wasn’t used to but it was good!!! I was a little annoyed cos the table next to us was talking really loud.

Anyway this afternoon i re-arranged the furniture in the office. We got rid of one desk and put the rest next to each other. so now i face a data quality officer rather than a white wall… this morning i spoke to my manager on how depressing having a desk on the wall was. 2 hours later she got the ok for us to move things about. No porters to help us… we had to move it ourselves. and these desk are not cheap ones.. they are solid wood ones so really heavy! managed to crush my baby finger as well… it is still hurting now.

I was dusty, hot and sweaty… i didn’t realised the time but i had a meeting in 5 min so i had to dust myself down and ran to the place. I did not pay attention at the meeting… all i was thinking was to just go back and tidy my desk up cos i hadn’t even finished putting my workstation back together.

Anyway i feel much more happy now… cool!

Anyway I have signed up for the British 10K Run on the 1st of July. So June walking and Jully running…. So this evening I started training by taking a jog around my area.

My route started where i live (Latimer/North Kensington) down to Holland Park then back… I prob only ran for 2.5km then kinda walked but it was very nice just walking around my area… normally i don’t really see much of it cos i normally drive or take the tube (which is 1min walk away and is overground and not a tube).
