Tonight I met up with Jessi. She had just finshed having her interview at Bloomberg so she was in central London. Went to have dinner at Tokyo Diner… Thank you for paying for the meal… i owe you one… It was nice meeting up again… she’s been in Austria for ages… thought she’d never come back…

I feel I’m at a pivotal point in my life where it seem I have to make a hard decision.

I can’t really say much what happened today but basically I am deciding if i should stay at my currently job or leave for the NHS again.

I guess i have a few days to decide…

At work the other day i was reading an email from my counterpart at BT. One of the sigs said Wintel Specialist… i was thinking wtf is that? sounded very hi tech etc. I did a search and found out that Wintel is just Windows and Intel fused together basically meaning an expert at using windows… i thought is that it…

Was watching the news tonight about the ship MSC Napoli lossing its containers cos of the bad weather and it was all being washed up on the beach. Many peeps have been stealing the washed up items.

BBC news did a live report at the site where all the containers were washed up and saw 2 men take loads of small parts… when asked what they were they replied “er not quite sure.” I was like thinking… why the hell you taking it then?

Some of the containers cotained BMW bikes, Wine etc… I was very surprised there weren’t any police at the place.

Friday night i was invited to go and watch The Pursuit of HappYness (yes with a Y).

Anyone who thinks they have it bad in life should watch this movie as you may change your tone after watching the movie….

After watching this movie i have realised i spend money like its water whereas some people don’t even have enough money to pay rent.

The movie has a typical Japanese drama story line i.e doing something against the odds and suceeding.

Thie movie has really touched me… i think everyone should go see it…

What blog is complete without a mention about Big Brother. Don’t you think it’s ironic that Jo O’Meara nearly committed suicide because of bullying? and now shes doing it to Shilpa.

I personally think Big Brother shows how today’s UK society is. I’m not claiming
that every White British person is racist but we ALL have our prejudice and ignorance be it be about race, regionalism or social class. That’s right! You, me and Fred next door!

Anyway enough of my moans and stuff… Jen is back in the UK from studing in China … Hello there!!!!

So annoyed i can’t even have a social life this month…. Xmas shopping has hit me hard… this week I was meant to go to a Primary/Secondary School reunion meet to watch something at a theatre but that never happened…

I’m meant to be meeting my Uni mates this weekend as well but not sure if thats gonna happen as well…. money is so short i gotta make it last…

Just finished watching ugly betty ep.2 it really reminded me alot of my old work place (Authentium). In the episode Betty gets her teddy bear kidnapped and held for ransom at work…

The exact same thing happened to me as well. All my toys i had on my desk were kidnapped and someone was leaving me ransom notes… was hurtful but i saw the funny side of things in the end…

Group email discussions can be so silly sometimes. Todays topics was “50% off yo sushi” not sure how but the topic change to become very sour… perhaps everyone was busy at work and just took there anger out in the emails to each other…. by the end of it…. it was total fall out….. but all sorted now…

Hope this person doesn’t read this…. but some people really over do it with the emoticons on msn… sometimes i cant even read the msg cos the who sentence is full off emoticons… jeez it annoys me!!!!! what happened about communicating across clearly!

Sorry for the lack of updates… the reason why i haven’t updated it, is cos i haven’t done anything cos i haven’t got any money to go out.

Also been really busy a work which has made me really tired… i literally come home and fall asleep.

The only thing that keeps me going these days is speaking to my friends in the evening on msn and phone.

My car has been playing up as well… my engine light keeps coming on then it will just go off suddenly…. to be honest i really can’t be bothered with that at the moment… so many things going through my head… I’m really nervous about my new job and stuff…

Also been thinking about valentines days… I always make myself depress by thinking about how lonely i will be on that day… why do I do it to myself…

On Feb 14th I’ll go into a Restaurant and go “Table for one please” hahahahah

Actually Feb 14th prob gonna go to the Cinema on my own… that may sound sad but i have never done it before and I’ve always wanted to go on my own.

Dam every year i make myself think to much about this day… why is there a such a day like this anyway… If you are with someone everyday should be a valentines day.

Anyway Friday I was gonna stay home cos like i said before got no money.. was looking fwd to watching ugly Betty but instead i thought i might as well go out and chill… So i went with Thanh, Yen and Chi to watch The Revelation play… we met up with Adrian, Dennis, Seb and a few other work mates as well…

It was my first time going to a gig… the music was rock and i don’t normally listen to that kinda stuff but i actually didn’t mind it… …. It was also nice to see Yen again, hadn’t seen her for ages…

Woke up, looked in the mirror and my hair looked really nasty! well actually i think its been looking nasty for a while… no style or anything… the more i looked at it the more it annoyed me… so today i booked a session with a Style Director at Toni & Guy (Brent Cross) cos i thought maybe i need some professional help on what to do with my hair.

So anyway i got it styled and cut… to be honest it does look a whole lot better and it has style now… but i don’t think the look is very me…. they gave me the messy look type hair cut…. i think he decided on that style cos i was wearing combats perhaps?

Well anyway i’m happy with the cut but my mum and sis don’t like my hair cut… my dad liked it though so that’s a plus.

Later on in the day Yee came round to have a Wii session… spent 2.5 playing Wario Smooth Grooves which came out yesterday…. the wii is not short of party games and this one is quite good… it’s not as addictive as Wii Sport but the only way i can describe Wario Smooth Groove is if twister was a computer game this would be it!

Happy New year everyone…

A new year a new start. Who knows what will happen in 2007?

My new years celebrations was ok… went to the Cheers Bar down regent street but only problem was that the DJ almost forgot about the new year only to manage the count down 6 sec before midnight. Besides that it was a good night, managed to pay a non ripoff price as well.

After coming out of the bar at 2am i was surpised to see so many people on the street….

After walking to the car we came across 4 people fighting on the street close to
my friends car…. a few kicks later they were gripping each other on my friends car so we were shouting to get off the car… these people were so out of it and bleeding they didn’t really listen. Then they started fighting again and broke the wing mirror…. how pissed off we were… They fell to the ground contining to beating each other up… big time…. all i could think of saying to them “Go and fight on the next car” which they actually did!

The fight got really violent with on person holding the person down on the floor and his mate kept kicking him in the face…. then suddenly a few cars stopped on the street and rush to stop the fight…. at this point i thought it was time to leave at we didn’t want more damage to the car or us.

Anyway the wing mirror is broken and these mirrors aren’t cheap as they’re electronic and heated.

What a way to start new years.

Recently been really addicted to Wii. So addicted i had to buy another Controller. Now these are so rare at the moment that it’s very hard to find them in the shops. I manged to find one of these controllers in a really obscure Argos in a town called Rushden near Bedford. The town has a population of 26,000 and when i got there The High st was empty no one was shopping and this was at about 5.15pm.

My New Years Resolutions
– To lower the outgoing cashflow to a minimum.

Not really having a good xmas break… Today I took my car to VW cos my Engine light decided to make a guest appearance again!

I’m a little annoyed about this cos the car is only a year old. VW service is quite good actually… they kept giving me updates on what happening. 6 hours later i was told that i could pick up my car… I asked what was the problem… they said they didn’t find one… no problem with my car at all. so what they did was reset the ECU.

To me this sounds like a fob off… this is like me at work telling a user to reboot their workstation then see if it happens again.

Anyway the engine light has gone again so i was happy… Went back home and got ready for dinner with my family …. Now guess what happened!!!!! My car head lights had blown!!!!!!!! After that i just got pissed off and stressed! So instead we ate in…

The next day i went to Halford in Colindale to get my headlights… I first stopped at comet to see if i could get Wii Play but they were sold out and ended up having a long convo about the wii with the manager. Anyway got to Halford and brought the lights… fitted them, all good and stuff! When i started the engine to leave guess what happened!!!!

The Engine light came back on so back to VW i went they said they can’t take my car in until wed… so gotta wait till then. Getting really annoyed now.

I hope everyone had a wonder Christmas… I had a really nice one. Ate plenty of food. My family are not really into Turkey so it was seafood… Had Lobster, Tiger Prawns, Mussels, salmon sashimi

Thursday day night it was our Company’s Christmas party. This year it was held at Stuido 54 within Battersea Park.

The Venue was wonderful It was so nice to see people past and present… I had a really good time with all my work mates…

Its events like this you realise how nice the people you work with are.

The event was formal but the expection was that it was themed 70’s so you were allowed to wear 70’s stuff…..

The other day at work I witness collective web surfin. Everyones computer had the Woolworth webpage up! Why? well the picture above explains it all. One of my work mates ordered 5… It was quite funny how everyone was trying to buy them, everyone knew that the chances of recieivng them were next to nothing.

Sat – After suffering a hang-over I went into work to collect my stuff that i left behind the day before.

After that I went shopping at Queenways. It was quite nice shopping on my own haven’t done that for a while. Whiteleys shopping centre was quite empty which made life easier. Also It was really nice to see a Choir sing christmas songs.

Talking about Choirs there was a really good documentry on BBC2 today. It was about a group of kids who had never sung in a choir before and changed them into world class singers.. It was a really good doc and really touched me how they worked so hard. We should have more docs like this than reality TV shows which are like no brainers!

Sunday, felt really lazy but in the evening i had arrange to have a Christmas dinner with an old friend that i haven’t seen for ages. We decided on a few places but cos there was alot of traffic we ended up going to WestEleven @ the Hilton Hotel.

The food was sooo lovely! Was really happy with the food, service, and atmosphere… I couldn’t believe how it was so much better then that junction restaurant i went to the other week.

To my surprise my friend brought me an Ipod Shuffle it was a really cool gift cos i my 3rd generation ipod had died a few months back… so now i can listen to music again.

Actually getting the ipod to work was a bit of a nightmare. when i opened itunes the drive would disappear from windows. So when itunes tried to sync it kept bringing up errors… it took me all night reading the apple forums to find out what to do … apparently many other people have had this problem as well.

I was reading 30+ blogs over the weekend… one entry really touched me. It was about a female who became a good smaritan. Wish people were as friendly as that in london.

“I was at Wilkinson buying sticky tape and at the cash desk there was two boys infront of me about 10/12 paying for two packs of polomints with 2ps and 1ps. Thought it was kinda cute n funny and sorry for the cashier as she has to count em all. The total was 48p and they only had 46p. So they searched their pockets for 2p (which they didn’t have) looking kinda lost and sad probably so I payed 2p for them and they were really grateful. They said thank you with a massive smile and as they left they said thanks again and the cashier smiled too.
Then for the rest of the hour I couldn’t stop smiling. Felt soooooo GOOD. The smiles were just so nice…”

Today on the news they claimed to have arrested the Ipswich Ripper (who has killed 5 women). Now I’m so amazed how technology plays a mjor part in our lives that we can read a profile of the killer on myspace. we can also read the peoples comments about him.

I use social network website like myspace and friendster to check out people i’ve met. It’s really handy. It goes to show… even peeps who don’t look like killers can be killers.

Wed another one of my mates left… I’m almost losing count with with who’s staying and who’s leaving.

After work we all went for a drink only stayed for a bit but the shocking thing is that Chris turned up! now apparently he has not been to a company social function for the past 5 years!

After pub i had to rush down to the Kensington Hilton for a drink with a friend then went to watch Happy Feet. Funny movie.

My parents told me that a house on a near by road had a really nice xmas display so i thought i would check it out…. now i was worried i wasn’t going to find it cos of the poor description my mum gave. It was quite funny cos that was the only houe on the road to have bright light… it stood out like a jap tourist at a gay bar.

They must be wasting alot of electricity? We recently got our electricity bill for this quarter and it was £200! is this normal? (pls post a comment) I’ve switched 1 of the servers off now to save power but not sure if it will make a difference.

Xmas time is hear….. that means alot of drinking etc! so time to get practicing!!!!

well Fri Mark left the company! shock horror.. one of the first people i met at the company .. nice bloke… another of my mates who left the company was Eddie… he left all of a sudden… nice person as well… all to be missed.

So anyway after work we went for a drink… I had 3 pints and I was out of it… seriously i don’t know what happened… Not to good considering this is xmas party season.

I left the pub a little tipsy mananged to fall and drop my phone as well (now scratched). I don’t know how but when falling i managed to get carpet burn marks on my knee and elbow…

Sat night I went to pick up my car which i left out side the pub (responsible drinking) Taxi cost £21 wtf!!! really didn’t feel like taking public transport that day.

Later on met up with Thanh to go to Mariyam’s Birthday dinner… Her dinner was being held in swanky Mayfair. I think i didn’t get the memo or something but there was a dress code. I was just dress casually so they had to smuggle me in!

Anyway it was a really nice dinner and a really nice group of people.

Tuesday i had a day off…… so after doing everything i needed to do, I went shopping with my Mum and Sis.

I took them to the Swindon Outlet Store. On the way there i went onto the Magic roundabout… it was well confusing… i was quite nervous getting onto it cos it looked really complex… but it was actually quite easy.

I actually didn’t buy much at all… it was more my sis and mum doing the buying. My mum was really happy! I think after 50 years she has finally discovered retail therapy.
