Not been out much but the other week we went clubbing in glitzy bar/club Stanza (not sure it was glitzy). It was a good night drank quite a bit.

Last week I upgraded to a Vario IV on T-mobile which is also known as the HTC touch Pro. Anyway i hated it so i sent it back. Just felt it took ages to do everything . So anyway I will be getting a Blackberry Curve 8900.

Friday night I went to see Slumdog Millionaire with Jess, Now before watching this movie i had heard the hype and i thought it was just spin. Anyway I think it is one of the best movies i have watched for a while. If you haven’t seen this movie you must make the trip to watch it. You wont be disappointed!

You may have heard of the Santika Night Club burnt down killing 60 or so lives. The Emergency Services did a very good job rescuing the clubbers. With only 1 Exit that clubbers knew about and 1000 people inside im surprised it wasnt worse.
Thailand doesnt have the best health and saftey record from what i hear but I guess this could have happened anywhere. Most people when they go clubbing never take a moment to see there nearest fire exit so what happens is that everyone will just try to leave the same way they entered.
Thailand I thought has always been a spooky place to live. When the tsunami occured a few years back locals heard voices (of people crying for help) on the beaches days after.
It is believed that the Spirit will return 3 and 7 days after the dealth. So many people went to take pictures of the Santika Club to see if they can see anything. One person claim to have captured Ghost in his picture.
see link . http://www.ajarnforum.net/vb/thailand-news-clippings/37191-santika-ghosts.html
Im not that convinced but if you have ever lived in thailand it is damn spooky.
Happy new year everyone!
Hope everyone had a wicked break and stuff… ive been off over christmas so it gives me time to blog and do other stuff. Been so busy that i really dont have time to write anything … so now that i do, i will fill in what i have been doing.
Before Christmas. Did the last minute shopping as always and i have decided Westfield is a really rubbish shopping centre.
90% are Clothing stores
5% are cosmetics and health store
1% Mobile Phone stores
and the rest are like food, electronics etc.
So if you are not after clothing of smelly soap and makeup you cant really buy much.
In my opinion Brent Cross or High street Kensington has better choice of items.
Besides being a hermit for the pass months a few people have managed to drag me out to dinner which is amazing as im so lazy to go out.
Went to have dinner at Med Kitchen with Jess. It’s a really good place to go. If you are bored with mid range places like Zizzi etc give Med Kitchen a try.

I’m also going through Netbooks like no tomorrow… I purchased the MSI Wind in November and it has been good to me but when Jessi go her Samsung NC10 i had to get one as well. The build quality is what you would expect from samsung and the battery on this laptop is amazing giving 6 hours of battery time.

I also use the Lenovo S10e at work and i must admit it is a very good netbook as well. Build quality is top notch only thing that lets it down is the battery life. I still use my MSI wind as it is the only netbook which you can watch HD videos on.

A few other purchases i have made over Christmas.
a PS3- yes i have given into pressure and have purchased it. Paid £255 with Little big planet so not bad. I must admit i play it alot more than my xbox 360 and Playstation Home (like Second Life) is amazing.

Tom Tom XL
Now dont be fooled with Tom Tom releasing different versions of the same thing etc. Argos are doing a decent price on the Tomtom XL (£126) Now this is the 2007 model but dont let that worry you. Register it online and you will get the latest Map updates and Speed Camera update absolutely free.

Still trying to catch up on updating my blog… so here are so pictures i didnt have time to put up…
First slide is motor show held at Excel. Some really nice cars and stuff… it was a good day out… had the famous GBK buffalo burger as well… very tasty.

My 27th Birthday… I had such a wicked time!!!! wished i could go clubbing all the time…

12th Dec was my work Christmas party. I started drinking to early and having an
empty stomach i got tipsy quickly and decided to dance all night… embarrassing myself 🙁 the shame!

The Chancellor Alistair Darling, is expected to announce that he will be cutting VAT to the EU minimum of 15% (from 17.5%) . So an item costing £10 will now cost £9.75. Now this sounds all good and stuff but this means that £20 billion + is not going into the treasury pockets, one must ask is this wise in a time where public borrowing is sky high?
To me this seems like an extreme measure and just proves that this global downturn is real bad and this all sounds really good now but we will all need to pay it back in the future. No doubt our income taxes will have to go up in a few years time not to mention that all londoners will have to pay for the Olympics via local taxes the future is not looking bright but not orange.

Purchased a LG Cookie today. Im actually really happy with my SE C902 phone at the moment but i thought i must try this new phone. For £100 on pay as you go via the Carphonewarehouse who are selling it exclusively. The phone comes unlocked so you can use it on almost any network in the world.
Anyway it’s the cheapest touch screen phone on the market but that doesnt mean it’s crap. It is really good, fully featured but without 3G the interface is fast and it is easy to type texts.

Car crime has tripled to 15 a month (http://maps.met.police.uk/) in my area. One morning i found 4 cars smashed on my road.
You think with all this the police will take action. They did! they put signs up on the street… like that’s gonna help.

While watching top gear tonight (a car tv show) they reviewed Toyota latest concept.
The I-swing as it is called is more or less a motorised chair funny enough it looks like the ones in the Disney Movie Wall-E. Perhaps the engineers at Toyota love disney movies?

Over the weekend the “Show me your Sloggi” Best rear end in the world contest took place… A Brazilian Woman and French man won … If you go to the sloggi website you can see the rest of the competition…. amazing bottoms!

I’m back… i finally have more time. I was so busy at work in one month i did 19 extra hours…..
Anyway i’m very happy afew weeks ago i got a promotion to IT manager which Im very happy about. I was very shocked when i found out i didnt expect it at all.

In october i went to my very first conference in this job… I was all alone for most of the two days because my boss was stuck in the states. It really hit me how i was the youngest there. Majority were white middle age men and women. Maybe it’s the industry that doesnt really appeal to younger people? I really felt it really hard to network with people there.
The dinner was the worst… trying to network was a disaster… ended up just getting drunk and falling asleep.

I live 5 min from westfield. Im so excited about the opening. London has always needed a shopping place which opens really late for ages. Many other european and asian cities already do this. It is so nice to shop in the evening, less people compared to a saturday.

check out my new specs…
one is D&G £280 with lenses the other is a non branded one which cost £30 with lenses purchased online… amazing!
ive been so busy the past few months that i havent had to time to update my blog. ive been working really long hours at work so i end up going home tired.
Any way here is a snippet of what i have been up to.

Eating

Running the Nike 10KM

Notting Hill Carnival

Should I take the blue pill or the red pill?
Dont you ever regret something you did or u wish if you could turn back time you would do things differently?
It’s amazing how people can change after a while… I had a conversation about it recently about wishing it went back to the old days… so then you try your hardest to be how you were and the other person does the same. Then it just feels fake? Perhaps it was my fault in the first place?
what are you suppose to do just move on and live with it? perhaps that is the case.
Along with other things happening around me it has really made me feel down and depress.
Friday I went out drinking with Phat, Monica and her cousin. I can seriously say i have not laughed so much and so hard ever. We were getting some life skills and advice from them… After a very long week i really needed the therpy of drinking and it was good!
I was so tipsy but managed to struggle back home from london bridge. For some strange reason no matter how much drink i can always chat on msn messenger without any problem.. Being under the influence of alcohol i remember calling **%^** and started chatting shit till3am! How embarassing 🙁

Saturday I met up with Thach, Monica, Jessica. Went to eat Indian at a place called Morty’s. I was very nice but quite heavy.
Sunday… did my 6.5 weekly run… managed to do it in 43.min a personal best for me. I really gotta thank Minh for helping me out on my pace.. Only a few weeks left till the nike run.

I HAVE SHORT HAIR!!!!!!!!
Last week, i decided to cut my hair really short. Instead of going to a stylist and paying £20 to £30 for a hair cut, i brought some clippers and did a no2 all over.
I actually like it… it is so nice to not worry about my hair in the mornings :p

Went to the Bright Motor Show on Saturday. It seemed like every person i knew had been there and put up their pics on facebook.
So i headed to the Show with Jessica, Minh and Thach. Minh had free tickets to the show (cheers mate) so we didn’t even need to pay.
I found that the show and layout was exactly the same as the motor show of 2006 (there wasnt a 2007 show) It’s funny how an industry can change in a matter of years…. there was alot of electric cars on display something unheard off a few years ago.
I think my next car in a few years time will be a Seat Leon. I love the shape but i think the interior is a bit basic.

Afterwards we went to Canary Wharf to have dinner.
We decided on GBK where we had a special offer voucher so we ate for cheap. We all decided to eat a Buffalo Burger… which actually tastes the same as a normal burger perhaps more tasty.
I must recommend the oreo milk shakes ant GBK… very tasty.

After Eating it was time to watch the Dark Knight.
I must say it was the best movie i have watched in a while. Heath Ledger as the joker was amazing… Story line etc was very good… you must go and watch this movie… you wont be disappointed… If you dont believe me Rotten Tomatoes gave this movie 94% .

After the movie we went to bar 38 to chill and stuff… was quite a good day out…. did so much for so little… mainly based of all these free vouchers the guys all had…
Driving at night to Surbiton i managed to drive into a police check point where they were doing random drink driving test. I was stopped as i told them i had 1 drink so they breatherlised me… I was so nervous like i did something wrong ( i only had one drink so knew i was in the clear) but anyway i got the green light so i was on my way.
Well that was my wonderful wacky weekend.

wow i became sociable again! well just for one week lol
I went to watch Wall-E this week … As always Pixar did a very good job on the movie and the short film at the start.
The movie itself is really good… i loved it.

Saturday, Thach, monica and I went to check out Emily new place in covent garden. What a wonderful place to live… really nice area.
We just ended chatted and ate.

[in tesco]
Sunday went for my weekly jog around hyde park. at about the 2.5km i felt really dizzy… it was so hot i think i was gonna faint, so i decided to stop. I walked the rest of the way… managed to drop and scratch my ipod touch 🙁
Anyway after that I got home and cut all my hair off… I was long overdue for a hair cut and the heat was getting to me… so i decided to cut it all off…
Im not sure about it… but i guess it looks neater now :p

[Still in my jogging stuff]

I upgraded my ipod touch to 2.0 and now i can download apps on it … bout time they’ve done this… makes the ipod more useful. As u can see ive loaded mine with translators and games.

London is currently having a knife killing spree so now have these metal detectors in the streets… Makes you feel a little safer.

I know my blogs are so dry nowadays… but the truth is… i’ve grown up, i have a career, i dont go out as much and i dont seem to have much to say.
Also I tend to keep myself to myself these days because it seems when i blog about things i.e my love life etc things just go wrong or they never work out.
What keeps me writing is that in 10 years time i can read what i did.
Anyway I often look back at my past years blog to see how much ive progress, if at all…
My past year:

Started hanging around with Jen again a month later shit happens and I stop talking to her (again)…

Left INPS… was it a mistake? i’m still not sure. Most of the people i worked with have moved on internally or onto other jobs. Working with young cool people was the best thing in the world, nowadays i sit in an office on my own bored as hell.

Randomly met a girl. Will I ever do it again? i doubt it…

A year ago was the last time i met up with my ex. 3 years on we are both very different people. We still speak on the phone once in a while but because she lives far we dont often meet up.
bloody hell i did fuck all! I’m gonna have to start living life a little more!

Forgot to mention i stayed at this designer hotel recently… it was really nice etc… one thing that stood out was the Lifts (elevators), you had to choose the floor you wanted to go to from the outside!
For the first few days i was dashing into the lift only to realise i couldn’t select which floor i wanted! oh well that’s what happens when a hotel trys to hard.

Every sunday (except the past 2) I’ve been training for the nike 10k run. I’m only managing 2 km at the moment so i have a long way to go 🙁

Picture of an apple pie at Loch fayne. Went there the other week… had a wonderful seafood platter… it was so yummy… i didn’t take a picture of the seafood cos i didn’t wanna look like a tourist :p

I was lucky enough to get my hands on Wii Fit.
This game has been sold out since its release in may. It’s a really good game i’m actually lost 3lb since playing it for 2 days (yes it tells you).
So what have i been upto?
Well been jogging every sunday in preparation for the Nike 10k run.
A few weeks ago, it was Monica’s bday. We went to eat Korean then went to Moose bar….
Ended up playing this chinese drinking game… i really didn’t understand it at first but then i caught on…
it was a good night…

Been really busy at work lately…. been installing a new server rack… (pictures below)
I brought a new phone (Sony Ericsson C902)
Problem with phone contracts, is that you got to wait 18 month till you can upgrade your phone. I decided to purchase the phone sim free which cost me £230. Now that is actually cheap compared with getting it on a contract.
the phone itself is amazing… Sony Ericsson has come a long way. The phone is really fast and the battery life is really good. I’ve been using the HTC Tytn II since october and i’ve been annoyed on how such a powerful smart phone can have a really shit user interface… the C902 has many of the advance features which i use on the pda, infact the C902 has imap Push mail which the HTC doesn’t…

Last week i went to GBK. Can someone tell me how are you meant to eat the burgers and not look like a pig? Their Burgers are so big how on earth can you much it.
I ended up using a Knife and fork. Definitely not a place to take a lady on a date.
——————————————–
in 1 week i’ve watched 4 movies… so here are my reviews.

Hancock:
Lacks a strong story line… Not one of Will Smiths greatest movies… I did like the comedy in it… but it’s one of those movies where all the good parts were in the trailer.
I’d give this a miss if you’re a serious movie critic.

Wanted:
Loads of critics have given good reviews about this movie. Story line was good but had a shit ending… Anyway this isnt a bad movie to watch but maybe one to wait till it comes out on DVD.

Kung Fu Panda:
This movie is a must see…. The comedy is great, The fight choreography is brilliant.
Definitely watch this movie!

Mamma mia:
Ok this is one is for the ladies… i only went cos i was with a lady (honest!).
I haven’t seen the stage show but i dont think you can compare the two. The cast arent singers, so i thought they did very well to sing, especially Piers Brosnan.
I am a fan of musicals and it’s not often you get musical movies. The last decent one was Hair spray.
It’s a must see if you like abba… I actually enjoyed it.
here’s a clip from the movie…
