They say Hotel Restaurants should be one of the best places to eat… I totally agree on that… I’ve had some of my best meals in Hotels.
Best place I have eaten was prob the Suites Hotel Liverpool, where i stayed for a few days when working up there. Until this time I’ve never had a bad experience with Hotel Restaurants until last night.
Last night I went to have dinner at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Junction Restaurant. Now you’d expect a 4* Hotel to have some good service and good food. That didn’t really happened.
We ordered our food and thought nothing of it. Talking as normal but then a couple got up and complained to the manager right in front of us saying they had waited 1.5 hours for there main course! I was like flip look like this is gonna be a long dinner. I thought perhaps it was just them but then another set of customers left as well telling the manager the same thing.
The manager explained there was only one chef today to be honest it didn’t wash down cos there were only about 7 table with customers and 1.5 hours is extreme.
The manager was very shabby. It felt like he had never worked in a restaurant before the way he presented the wine was so poor. I felt like i was being shown a bottle of Fanta or something.
Anyway on to the the Meal.
Starter – Mussels in Chorizo Sauce : Mussels overcooked
Main – Roast Salmon with Vegetables : Salmon overcooked
Desert – Cheese Cake : Nasty!
The food was very bad and very inconsistent. While my salmon was overcooked my friends was perfectly done. I know how to make the Starter and Main dish and to be honest these are very simple dishes to make. Actually i was cooking salmon the other week and made a better effort than what i had last night.
I’ve had better food eating in a pub then here and don’t get me started on how much i paid!
Don’t get me wrong I’ve been to the Junction Restaurant in Bristol and it was very nice. This is the last time I trust The Junction at Regents Park.

Recently Ive been trying to catch up on my Jdramas, I’ve got a backlog of like 5 dramas to watch but i’m getting through them now.
