Ever since i was given a few phones from work i’ve been quite interested in PDA’s… I decided to upgrade to the newly released MDA Vario III aka HTC Tilt

What a wicked phone! best Pda i’ve used so far… the phone is fast to navigate and with internet connection and msn what more can you ask for .

oh and the reason why its called the HTC tilt is cos it er tilts!

Phone also comes with GPS built in so you can download tom tom or use google map and it pin point you right away…

I would def recommend this phone to anyone.

Bloody hell just my luck…. got a call this afternoon calling me for an interview for an IT job in south east london… but i’m gonna be out of the country that day… and they won’t even change the interview date…. never mind… you win some you lose some….

How the hell did i manged to get an Ipod touch???? Amazon, Play and most store are only taking pre orders expecting to be on general release next week….

My sister managed to walk in to John Lewis in central london and snapped one up… plus she got a discount so £170 instead of the £199 retail price… not bad!

More about the phone… it is super sexy… who needs a girl friend when you have one of these. As well as playing music… it has the same user interface as the iphone… web browser works so well and youtube vids are so clear… i really love this phone… it feels very futuristic.

What a weird week i’ve had… Fri i had to move offices… now in a refurbished office… quite nice but i have a smaller desk now 🙁

Friday night…. went round Emily’s place for dinner… first time i’ve made my own diner for ages… quite nice though…. was meant to meet up with Thanh after to go to Arup’s gig but the chicken took long to cook so that plan went out of the window…

The rest of the weekend was really crap… I didn’t go out anywhere… everyone was just dam lazy to go out… so decided to stay in… it was good cos i saved money…

Sun I was hoping to go have Dim sum with Jess but she woke up quite late hmmmmm wonder what time she slept….. I’ve not seen Jess ever since my B-day… thats a long time in my books lol….. she must be trying to avoid me…. just kidding… she’s been ill….

Since coming back to work… I feel very uncomfortable. Monday morning was my weekly Team progress meeting… my Director didn’t even look me… while i was away my line manager had told him i’m be moving off this project… which i only found out later.

In the afternoon got back in the office and had a chat with my line manager cos apparently something i said went out of context and kinda caused a big crisis in the department or was atleast one of the factors… already feeling low already i ask my line manager if it was just a good idea to just quit. At that point i felt even more low… My line manager said def no… so it made me feel slightly better.

After this she told me they are already hiring a replacement for me… and that the moving over to $£%£%% system is quite a big responsibilty and will take over a year alone to learn the system.

In the evening i thought about this alot and the next morning i told my line manager that i will just stick to where i am because i don’t think i can commit to such a important system and also it would mean dealing with BT again. So here i am back to sq one.

I plan to leave Healthcare IT for good.

This has affected me alot… I’ve been quite moody to a close friend of mine recently, there were 2 reasons for that but one was cos of whats been going on at work the other a personal thing… it really hurts when they say the famous phrase “you’ve changed”.

I’m sorry for being a twat.

Anyway… I’m taking everyday as it comes now…

This week spent a few days in Barcelona …. very nice and relaxing… Video blog below….

Friday night went out for a random dinner in central quite good seeing everyone…. not done that in a while so was good fun… they was making fun of me getting tipsy on one drink (which i wasn’t).

Sat… Took a friend to shop in kingston… I showed her the wonderful world of Primark shopping… which she seemed to enjoy… in the process of the excitment of going there she nearly got knocked over by a bus.

Anyway later on in the evening… I had Dinner at Frere Jacques…. a very hard place to get a table on a sat evening… for some reason managed to get a table this time… Anyway was looking at the menu to see what i wanted to eat… next thing you know my menu was melting and in smoke… i had put the menu over a candle… lol how stupid of me. the meal was quite nice, top class… if you are visiting kingston this place is a must.

As my friend got up from the table she nearly took the table cloth with her… all this was so funny… i have never laughed so much for ages lol…

Sunday was Son B-day…. went to Gauchos which is some posh Argentinia steak place… Steak was so exspensive but so soft and tasty…. i’ve steak was so soft you didn’t even need a steak knife… it was so good!

the weekend has been really active for me. Friday evening went drinking with workmates…. felt really tipsy in the end….. quite nice to social drink not done it for a while…..

Saturday went rocking climbing…. not done it for a while so did a little refresher on how to climb again…. was really good i’m def gonna start rock climbing on a regular basis….

later in the evening went to the comedy store….. i havent been to the comedy store since the smoking ban…. before i really liked the venue but only draw back was everyone smoking…. but now it’s really nice cos it’s all fresh air.

Sunday went with Family to Costco in Watford… quite good value for money… afterwards i took them to eat at the Galleria down in Herts.

In the evening i was gonna go down to kingston to have a drink with Jess and her friends but i was really tired so bailed out at the last min…. it was a good idea i did that cos i had an interview on monday….

Monday:
Had my weekly meeting in Baker Street. My Director had a private chat with me said he didn’t wanna lose me…. I told him i wasn’t happy here…. now i’m so confuse if i should stay on the project…. quite confused with what to do…..

In the afternoon I had the interview for the server job…. i didn’t go very well…. i found it really hard to anwser questions like what is layer 2 and 3 in networking…. thats the stuff u learn in uni…. anyway… its expirence…. i still wanna move jobs… but not sure what my next move is…..

During the week meet up for dinner with Zip… went to eat jap…. not seen her since last year… we are both different people now… it was nice catching up…

Fri… Got turned down for the job… so i guess its back to looking for a job.

You prob think a job where you get to travel and get to go to meeting all the times is actually cool and fun…. this is what i thought for a while but really it isnt for me…. I’m quite annoyed with my current role so much today i’ve asked to be reassigned to another role.

The only role going is quite hard and you have to deal with BeeTee (take off the ee and ee) …. I feel like i’ve gone back to sq one… one of the reasons why i left my previous job is cos i hated working with them … and now I will have to work with them again.

My line manager took me to a cafe she told me she was really annoyed that i never came to speak to her about my problems… and was very understanding… I also told her i had applied for a post within the department… that really shocked her….

I feel my relations with my manager is very sesitive at the moment….

Anyway besides like that i feel shit……

Other day I had dinner in Belgo’s … had 1kg of mussell to myself… this place does the best mussels!!

Alot of people have mention how do i manage to take pictures in meetings etc…. answer to that is i use my pda to take pics, it looks like i’m checking my email.

Anyway… Quite busy week again this week… so i was really glad when the weekend came along!

Anyway Friday evening just had a quiet meal at Pizza Express with Jess… had a brief walk around Kingston then it was home to bed.

Sat met up with one of my old mates …. went to Eailing to eat Sushi… nice as always… before that I brought myself a new laptop… and before you lecture yes i have no money… but i saw a bargin so i had to take it….

Apparently I look geeky with my glasses…. so do i look better without my specs? feedback pls guys!

This week i’ve been really busy with meetings, presentations, and go-lives… I almost wanna fall asleep as they are mega boring.

I felt left out in these meetings as everyone in the meeting was career for life management people. I have no passion for Healthcare IT like these people do.

All this week C*”&rn&r were giving presentations on the progress of the new system… I was asked to go to a few… it was in a lecture hall. I felt like i was at uni again except i was not being paid to sleep so i had to keep myself awake. One presentation was mega boring… but i was so wide awake cos of the cute french girl presenting she was so fit… I bunked the rest of the seminar deciding instead to stay in the office as i was so bored.

I was told this week of the new system i’d be working on… let hope it doesn’t take another 3 years to finally deliver…

I finally got my interview date for the Server Engineer position. It’s gonna be in 1 weeks time and I’ve heard it is going to be mega competitive. So gonna have to read up on my tech stuff and refresh my mind.

The tube were on strike this week…. chaos for anyone who takes the tube. I survived it by getting a lift in the morning from my dad and in the evening i had to take a taxi home as the buses were to packed for my liking… I’ve heard they are gonna strike again next week… great!

what a week…. really tired now…

Thursday I went to Gemma’s and Alan’s bday at Thai sq which was privately rented.

The party was like a facebook party… some peeps i knew and some i’ve seen on facebook… It was quite nice seeing old faces again.

Friday the next morning… I had my meeting with my director… I thought it was productive as he is putting me on Prince2 etc… but I still think i should leave. Doubt money will be going up soon… and at the moment it pisses me off that i know i can earn more money elsewhere. Money is important for me at the moment because I feel that i wanna start traveling more while i’m young…

Fri evening was meant to go to Angel’s party… but i was sooo tired i just didn’t have the energy. It would have so nice to go cos alot of my childhood friend were gonna be there… oh well. next time.

Sat. went to the Skool night in the city. place was quite small and hard to move and the dance floor was tiny… saying that not many people were dancing… still it was good to catch up with old friends… left quite early… just to tired 🙁

Today at work i started looking for jobs decided to apply for an entry level position in IT Finance…. I got a positive response so see how it goes…

I’m actually looking for new jobs asap cos I’ve got a show down with my director on Fri where we talk about my position… I’ve demanded more money … well anyway we’ll see how it goes :p

My aim is not to leave my current job before the merger…. As 2 IT departments combined prob means uncertainty.

Managed to get Mario Party 8 today… its been out of stock everywhere… not had a chance to play it yet, but i’ve heard its really good….

Also met up with Mariyam today… she’s back from Doha for a few days…. quite nice seeing an old face again… .

so it was the bank holiday weekend…. looking at the weather it was going to be quite good… hard to imagine as 4 days earlier it was cold and raining… it was actually warm this weekend so quite a bonus for the bank holiday.

Anyway on Sat I went to have dinner with Michael and Norval…. not seen them for almost 2 years… went Pizza express… quite nice catching up on the old times…

Went to All Bar one… was meant to be a quiet drink but ended up as a wine drinking session… the other group of people (mostly australian) who were sitting at the same table started talking to us and it turned into a dicussion about what wine tasted better… and we all started sharing wines… at the end of it I was really pissed… I was throwing up along the way home… I’m never gonna drink like that again…

Even though i was quite pissed i managed to get my cam out to film you some handy advice.

Even with no money… (after paying back £500 to the banks) I felt really upset… so i decided to get my credit card out and purchased a 32 inch TV.

For £280 it was a bargin… the picture quality is comparable to a mid range TV … contrast ratio of 1200 : 1 and HD ready it was value for money… dixon are selling a simular spec tv for £499.

I decided on getting this TV cos of the review on dabs.com as many people were mentioning that the quality of this tv was amazing… and it is… the budget ones at curry’s which sell for £400 are crap… this one selling for £280 was alot better in spec and quality.

I had one of those shitty days today… Morning… was busy trying to keep one of the systems running smoothing as it kept falling over… if only people knew the fact that an idiot was looking after a systems which takes 1000’s bookings a day from all of west london.

after that I had time to check my emails in the office. While going to the toilet i broke my zipper! I was so embarssed…. what made it worst I had a meeting in 1.5 hours time…. so i rushed home to changed my trousers.

So in the afternoon I headed to N*HS London IT office where there was a meeting. This is where i realised why the hell am i doing this job. Most of the people there are Career NHS people, I’ve never seen a career here so it was so wierd seeing people so passionate about there jobs… they spent 1 hours debating how many buttons should be on an interface…

Don’t be a cock! if your plane is about to burst into flames… leave everything behind and exit as fast as you can. Deciding to collect your belonging before leaving the plane is suicide!
